Temecula Yoga Collective
As children, we have a huge movement repertoire – we move how we feel without inhibition. Then we learn that only certain movements are okay, like don’t have a tantrum. If you’re a male, don’t move softly. If you’re a female, don’t take up too much space. And on and on it goes until we become adults who are far too contained and distanced from our bodies. Moving our bodies feels good when we can stop observing ourselves and just enter into being with ourselves. If you’re uncomfortable moving, dancing, shaking your groove thang – If you’ve got some stories about how you’ve got no rhythm or shame around movement, take a risk and start the process of letting that old lie die. All bodies and all comfort levels of movement and warmly invited.
This event is part a fundraiser for Heifer International hosted by the Temecula Yoga Collective. Heifer International, through gifts like yours, works to end hunger and poverty while caring for the earth by providing people with food and reliable income. A percentage of offspring from those animals are then given to other’s in their community who are also impoverished. To find out more about the whole day event, see the promo here. So come join for this or other of the offerings. If you can’t make it but would like to donate to an amazing organization that follows the “teach a man to fish” principal, you can do that here.
